With targeted coaching sessions, either one-to-one or in small groups, it is a proven and efficient way to get to where you want to go. Whether you’re a beginner or a pro, Nick’s approach backs up each area of learning with practical sessions so you leave with intuitive, build-in understanding and confidence all at a pace that suits you.

Hobby photographer, beginner, improver, professional? Whatever your level of experience, wherever you want to go, there is a course to suit you. The ‘Unleashed'!’ courses are for beginners, and the ‘Master’ courses contain more advanced content without overlap.

Photography Courses
Overview - Beginners Photography. Photography is vision, composition and about being confident in working with the technology you have. Whether you have a pro-level DSLR or an iPhone, this hands-on course will get you taking instinctive, stunning photos that capture a moment or a scene.
Format - Delivered in person or Zoom.
Who is it for - Anyone with a camera or phone that needs some direction into the world of photography or as preparation for a more advanced course.
Photography Master
Overview - Advanced Photography. Time to engage with your creativity as a photographer and take your work to the next level. Covering photography theory and technique, camera technologies, composition and editing – everything you need on your journey towards being a successful photographer.
Format - Delivered in person (Some elements of this course can be delivered via Zoom if that is your preference.).
Who is it for - From serious amateurs that want their work to match the passion they have for the subject, though to professionals that feel they lack some technical skills.

Format - Delivered in person
Overview - ‘I’m a natural light photographer’ or ‘I don’t like flash’. We’ve all said this at some point, and it simply means we are not confident at using artificial light effectively or reliably. This course changes all of that, and will have you shooting stunning shots from the dance-floor full of energy and atmosphere.
Format - Delivered in person.
Who is it for - Photographers battling with using flash to create natural, creative work that communicates warmth, character and atmosphere and not a crime-scene.
Landscape Photography Master
Overview - Advanced Landscape Photography. This session gives you all the skills you need to specifically create stunning landscape images. Lens, composition, technique and an opportunity to get out and create some amazing photos together.
Format - Delivered in person (Some elements of this course can be delivered via Zoom if that is your preference.)
Who is it for - Experienced amateur or enthusiast photographers keen to explore the techniques and skill behind beautiful landscape photography.
Editing & Post-Processing Courses
Lightroom Master
Overview - Lightroom is a game-changer that does all the leg-work of managing your images and provides professional creative editing functionality. This workshop shows you how to access all this power to deliver beautiful images that your clients will love.

Who is it for - Photographers of any genre that want to learn everything about Lightroom and how it will create order to their image collections and provide professional editing facilities.
Photoshop Unleashed!
Overview - Beginners Photoshop Course. Photoshop is the industry-standard way to produce incredible creations and professional edits. But the power and functionality can be complex and daunting for beginners.
This workshop will guide you through the interface, tools and techniques you need to work with confidence, skill and purpose.
Format - Can be delivered in person or via Zoom.
Who is it for - Photographers or budding digital artists of any genre new to Photoshop and looking to expand their creativity or quality of their edits. Also a great lead-in to the Photoshop Master workshop below.
Photoshop Master
Overview - Advanced Photoshop Course. Photoshop allows the highest quality retouching and professional, realistic lighting, composite images and digital art to be created. This power is available only to those with knowledge of the advanced toolset, and the techniques used to master them.
Format - Can be delivered in person or via Zoom.
Who is it for - Photographers or artists, that are familiar with Photoshop but feel limited by their knowledge of more complex functionality and techniques needed to create professional level work. Also a great follow-on from the Photoshop Essentials workshop above.
Career Development Workshops
Overview - Wedding photography has many rewards, but it needs a wide variety of skills to ensure success. As well as strong photography and efficient editing your business will rely on the strength of your products, branding, marketing, engagement workflows and sales. Following this workshop you will leave buzzing with all the skills needed to guarantee your success.

Who is it for - Photographers looking to start a wedding photography business and also wedding photographers who want to take their work and business to the next level of quality and success.
Studio Photography & Portrait Master
Overview - Studio photography and portraiture are fantastic genres for both amateur and professional photographers to move in to. With just a little outlay on studio equipment, professional headshots, family shoots, children, pets and artistic portraits are all possible and will keep you busy with work.

Who is it for - This course is fantastic for enthusiast or professional photographers keen to move into studio and portraits work or to improve their ability to capture flattering, natural shots of people.
Photography Business Coaching
Overview - Starting or growing your own business needs you to wear many hats; sales, account, marketing, social media, designer, project manager. Throughout my corporate career I managed several companies, teams and projects to success, including my own photography business. These sessions will allow you to tap into that expertise to take your own business to the big time.
Format - Can be delivered in person or via Zoom.
Who is it for - Anyone that needs proven guidance through the stormy seas of creating a successful business. I have clients from all over the globe, and in many different industries.
Tailored & Combined Courses
Some courses can be run together, and we have even taking attendees from beginner all the way through to being a successful working Wedding Photographer. For example, Wedding Photography Master can be followed by Photography Business Master or an ‘Unleashed!’ version of a topic, followed by the ‘Master’ version.
You may feel that you would like something different to the courses described above, or perhaps would like to combine some elements from a couple of courses into one workshop. That’s no problem, get in touch so we can discuss your needs.

I can welcome attendees to my studio facility. Based just outside Bristol and near the M5, transport links are excellent as are opportunities to go out taking photos. We have parking, refreshments and lunch is provided.
in-person Workshop at your home or workplace

Depending on attendee’s location, time and other commitments, travelling to the Nick Church Photography HQ may be impractical. I am happy to travel to you. All you need to provide is some workspace (office desk/kitchen table/small meeting room is just fine) and some coffee and I’ll come to you.
Remote Sessions
Some courses / some elements of course can be run remotely. Some courses can also be delivered in bite-size sessions, to fit in with your schedule.
on-the-job Coaching Day
Unique to Nick Church Photography Education. Includes a Wedding or Commercial Coaching day where you spend a day with Nick Church on a shoot, and will get tuition about the shots that are being taken, the lens choices made, client interaction and everything else that will better prepare you for your first solo gig.
